One of my least favourite things about freelancing is the lack of communication with clients/editors. Why am I sending 5 emails with no reply? How am I meant to get on with my work/get paid when communication is so constantly so patchy?

Very sad day for the drug world. I’ve been lucky to have Russell ‘Dr Nuke’ Newcombe’s drug wisdom to steer my journalism for 25 years. Lovely man, drug legend 🍭

Gutted. Followed and admired Dr Nuke ✴️ since I was at Uni.

Absolute legend of harm reduction and was privileged to work with him on a few articles and initiatives in past 5 years.

RIP Russell Newcombe who was the theoretical genius behind the harm reduction movement that started in Liverpool in the early 1980s. Russell was a fierce proponent of the normalization of the use of drugs. His contribution to the drug policy reform movement was enormous.
