It doesn’t matter, but I nonetheless point out “a craic” in this otherwise excellent Guardian piece on Kneecap. They may be “the craic” (or “the crack”), but not with the indefinite, I think.

🥃Donald Clarke📽️ I can forgive them for this. The way we metaphorically pool our resources and then ration them back to ourselves indicated by the linguistic quirk of putting “the” or “d’” in front of them eg the dinner and the mother is almost dissertation-worthy imo
