Snow Bunting still present at Longdon Marsh today, along with drake Ring-necked Duck. Also Ringed Plover, Marsh Harrier, 2 Great & 5 Little Egret, Peregrine, Red Kite and newly arrived and singing Chiffchaff’s & Blackcap.

Half a dozen Sand Martin and 3 Little Ringed Plover the highlights at Clifton Pits this morning, also 5 Redshank and Ruddy Shelduck still present.

Pair of Garganey still present at Ripple Pits, south lake island, early evening, also House Martin & Common Sandpiper. At Clifton Pits late afternoon, 2 Black-tailed Godwit still present on north pit.

Super morning in the Wyre Forest, lots of Pied Flycatcher song 4 singing males, 2 Tree Pipit singing, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and Dipper on Dowles Brook. Unexpectedly also had a close encounter with an Otter, in the brook swimming upstream toward me

South Worcestershire this afternoon; Ruff & 2 Wheatear at Clifton Pits; 7 species of wader at Ryall Court Pits included; 2 Curlew, Green & Common Sand.,also Whitethroat & 5+ Yellow Wagtail.

2 reeling Grasshopper Warbler the highlight this morning in the Clifton area, also Lesser Whitethroat, Wheatear, Whitethroat, Yellow Wagtail’s and 3 Common Sandpiper.

Fantastic morning in the Wyre Forest this morning, the clearing pictured held; Redstart (2), Tree Pipit (3) & Garden Warbler (3); singing in unison with others, also Wood Warbler 2+, Pied Flycatcher 2, Dipper pair courting, Cuckoo, Marsh Tit 1 & Grey Wagtail

8 species of wader at Clifton this morning including, Whimbrel, Greenshank, 4 Common Sandpiper & a Dunlin. Also Peregrine, Sparrowhawk, Wigeon, Swift and Yellow Wagtail.

Good numbers of Yellow Wagtail on east side of main pit Clifton this morning 30+, gathering of the local population or passage? Also; Ringed Plover, Dunlin, 4 LRP, 3 Common Sand. and 1 each of Great & Little Egret.

Good wader passage today at Sker Point & Kenfig NNR. Whimbrel, 3 Golden Plover, 50+ Sanderling, Sker rocks at high tide.Black-tailed Godwit, Little Stint & Wood Sandpiper on the east shore of pool, latter 2 flew north at 1.30. Also 2 Wheatear and 6+ Yellow Wagtail.

Pleased with my 1st Clifton WeBS count this morning. 18 Black Tern’s and a fly through Spotted Redshank were the obvious highlights. Also singles of Pintail, Mandarin, Barnacle Goose & Common Gull and CG354, GJ232, EG37, MA278, GA10, SV20, T.11, TU82, ET2 & CO119.

Curlew Sandpiper still present this morning at Ripple Pits, south pit, east shore. Also Ringed Plover through, Green Sandpiper, 2+ Common Sandpiper and Hobby.

Obliging Wheatear at Clifton Pits this afternoon, also Great Egret, 6 Little Egret and 195 Cormorant.

Clifton Pits WeBS count late morning and early afternoon. 253 Cormorant is a significant count, 11 Little Egret, 1 Shelduck, 28 GG, 7 LG, T.31, SV 12, TU 55, WN 41, Snipe, Kingfisher, Peregrine and 3 Yellowhammer.

2 Glossy Ibis left Ripple Pits this morning at 7.25 heading north west, also Red-crested Pochard, Great Egret and Common Sandpiper. Eclipse male Ring-necked Duck still at Clifton on main pit.#worcsbirding
