I have visited this spot for more than 20 years to think & find peace. It never looks the same. I told my nieces and nephews when they were toddlers that this is a “secret” beach. They are in their 20’s now and one recently proposed to his fiancée here. It is no longer a secret.

One of the few times I feel a sense of “completion” is after a late afternoon enjoying the after-effect of work in the yard— new mulch, mowed grass, blooming plants and a flourishing cactus garden.
