I visited schools on both sides of the river today. I saw kids excited to be back and staff who love their students and will do whatever it takes to help them succeed. Welcome back, #JPSchools Family!

We started school this week but added a very special group of children today as our PK and kindergarten students arrived for their first days of school. Tomorrow we are thrilled to welcome back all of our #JPSchools students.

Large district superintendent collaboration site visit in East Baton Rouge Parish School System today. Great things are happening with their SEL support for students! The icing on the cake was being interviewed by a former Grace King High School graduate. Anum Siddiqui represented Jefferson Parish Schools well!

As we celebrate Dr. King today, I am grateful for our community and leaders who help make our vision of giving every child a great education a reality. His dream helped lead me to where I am today, and I am proud to serve our students and honor his legacy.

I ran into two of our John Ehret High School students this past weekend. They make me proud of the work happening in our Jefferson Parish Schools classrooms, and I’m excited to see what the future has in store for them.

Grateful to have Judge Lee Faulkner turn his courtroom into a classroom, inspiring our kids! Witnessing someone who embodies integrity, wisdom, and fairness firsthand is an invaluable lesson that can shape the lives of our kids from Hazel Park. #JPSchools #Rolemodel
