Can the office keep the case if she recuses? Unclear to me after looking at OCGA 15.18-5 May still have to go to Prosecuting Attorneys Council of Georgia.

Under Georgia law, the defense has to apply for a certificate of immediate appealability-there is no automatic appeal. Unlike the motions to dismiss earlier this week where Judge McAfee indicated he would grant one, his order today is silent. documentcloud.org/documents/2448…

Also worth noting McAfee described Willis' interviews with Daniel Klaidman and me for #FindMetheVotes as 'unorthodox' but not disqualifying. Perhaps, but they also provided rare & revealing insights into the prosecutor at the center of this storm!
