Cliff Monear and ALVIN WADDLES came to the Steinway & Sons Detroit showroom to audition four spectacular pianos for the Gretchen C. Valade Jazz Center at Wayne State University. When they'd made their decision, both signed and dated the Steinway’s cast iron plate.

As the Gretchen C. Valade Jazz Center nears completion at Wayne State University, two piano-playing friends of the festival, Cliff Monear & ALVIN WADDLES, went to the Detroit Steinway & Sons showroom to choose between four exquisite Model Ds.

Erb Family Foundation, students from five DPSCommunityDistrict schools had the chance to learn from #jazz professionals in the Jazz Infusion project. It culminated with an outstanding showcase Friday at Cliff Bell's, #Detroit 's most beautiful jazz club.

Bands from five different schools, along with the newly re-formed student All-City Jazz Band, played the sunburst stage. The Fred A. & Barbara M.
