Good cloud watching today

When you’ve lost the sisters…

Finally going through my photos from Friday night. I loved all the reds from that night. We could sometimes see them with the naked eye.

It’s 90° here. I have concluded on this hike with 100% certanty that I am a cool weather hiker. 🥵

I struggled a bit photographing the lights because I was overwhelmed at how expansive they were. They covered the whole sky and I struggled in the framing.

I had feelings last night that I have never felt before. A pure wonderment of the universe. Watching the lights pulsate and dance across the sky. I stopped taking pictures at one point because I just wanted to take it all in.

This portal was overhead all night, I tried to go through but it wouldn’t take me.

I am not storm chasing but I am fueling up before an Aurora chase. Hoping to see those Northern Lights tonight!
