Just the most beautiful and tranquil place for lunch. Alongside the River Nethy deep in the heart of the Abernethy Forest

The mighty River Spey near Grantown-On-Spey and the Anagach woods, home to the scarce Capercaillie of which there is no chance of spotting with Macallan, our mad Springer, in tow

A cracking walk along the Glen and the River Avon (pronounced “Arn” 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿). Apparently Queen Victoria stopped here for luncheon on one of her outings. And I bet it was something a little more elaborate than the cold sausage bap and hula-hoops that I had!

The high peaks and the Munros still pretty much require crampons and ice picks so what better than bagging the Corbett at Càrn Ealasaid. At 2,600 ft, in beautiful spring sunshine the ascent from Corgarff Castle and views from the summit are spectacular!

Finished! Probably a waste of time as I fully expect my Henry to continue to use the space in front as this as his “floordrobe”
