Today I swore in the House because “f*ck” and “sh*t” are taken more seriously as unparliamentary behaviour than normalized racism. We need to address escalating racism in the House and MP Redekopp must be held accountable for equating racial background with criminal behaviour.

Is the Canadian right about to try to convince us Trump is no big deal again? Because they were wrong the first time and then he tried to do a coup, so...?

it’s not one simple day of flooding in the summer. the extreme temperatures have been worsening for decades, have caused fatalities, and yet every fucking elected official here on all levels are continually failing us by allowing corporations to destroy this planet

Living without power in Toronto for a couple of hours felt like the end of the world. Stores were closed, information wasn’t accessible, it was difficult to connect with loved ones, and I wasn’t sure what services were available or where to get a meal. It was incredibly

If you, like me, found a couple hours of power outage in Toronto to be super annoying, then I invite you to consider what it would be like to live without power, food, shelter, and other basic needs, while also under constant threat of violence and bombings for 8+ months.

I flipped through this book yesterday. A complexity of emotion arose. On the one hand, what a travesty that a book like this exists. The pictures in it starkly contrast the images we’ve seen out of Gaza since October 7 // 1948. On the other hand, I'm almost… jealous? What

It would amazing if the other women featured in ELLE Canada spoke up about the removal of Sarah Jama, since so many are apparently equity focused. Time for solidarity. #Ellecanada

Sam Krishnapillai (@samkrish_) 's Twitter Profile Photo

worth noting that since Sarah Jama is in this month's issue of Elle Canada (in print) and then weeks later removed then the problem likely isn't the people at Elle canada. It's likely the parent company who clearly didn't learn anything from their 1 hour of DEI training in 2020.

Nora Loreto (@nolore) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Wow, they get even more yikeses. They changed "women" to "Canadians" after a terfascist swarm and deleted Sarah Jama entirely after a Zionist swarm.

it’s sept. canada gonna be all “truth & reconciliation” day. they’ll read land acknowledgements & wear orange while overincarcerating Indigenous kin, no drinkable water on reserves, etc. genocide continues. one day Israel will read land acknowledgements free palestine NOW.

The deal is done. The Liberals are too weak, too selfish and too beholden to corporate interests to stop the Conservatives and their plans to cut. But the NDP can. Big corporations and CEOs have had their governments. It's the people's time.

As election time has approached in Canada, let the following never be forgotten: Justin Trudeau supported the genocide of the Palestinian people. Pierre Poilievre supported the genocide of the Palestinian people. Jagmeet Singh supported the genocide of the Palestinian people.

Sam Krishnapillai (@samkrish_) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I'm confused as to why we're *just* blaming Jagmeet Singh here. Justin Trudeau is equally to blame. They *both* have a responsibility to make that supply and confidence deal work, and they *both* failed Canadians. #cdnpoli #freepalestine #ndp #liberals
