Hull not making the play-offs is classed as a failure by some, but they finished higher than Boro and Coventry, who were both in the top six last year and both spent more than them. Coventry spent about £35m in the summer. Hull also finished eight places higher than last season

If Cardiff brought in Rosenior, they would be 1-0 down at half-time in the first game of the season, with 65% possession and some people would be saying ‘I’m fucking sick of this already.’ The only one who would be afforded the time and patience to change the mentality is Bellamy

U18 | A derby day win in the sun? Oh go on then! We do the league double over the Swans and confirm a third place finish in the PDL South!

I love everything about Liam Rosenior, but Cardiff would chew him up and spit him out. It’s not the job for him, sadly

Sometimes I watch a series and think it would have made a better film, and vice versa. I enjoyed Civil War, but I think it would have made for an epic series

These Man Utd players have evidently downed tools and want the manager gone, but imagine inheriting this lot. What a task for the next guy

I’m no more convinced that Bulut is in contention for big European jobs as I am that Arsenal are considering Colwill. It would be dereliction of duty on his agent’s part if there wasn’t links and if they’re trying to apply pressure, who can blame them? It’s a ridiculous situation

Brighton recognised the potential and turned him into a 20- goal striker. Ollie Watkins was a winger at Exeter, he’s now a prolific PL striker. I’m sure in both cases, there were arseholes on here saying ‘don’t sign him, look at his goal record!’ You have to tap into the promise

Breaking: will sell Liam Delap to the highest bidder this summer. The striker may have a ‘buy back’ clause included in a deal, while Manchester City will want around £10M for the 21-year-old.

The transfer window will be different this year. Where very little traditionally tends to happen until July, when players return for pre-season, the fact that the FFP cut off is the end of June and clubs are now so scared of breaches, expect the wheels to start moving in late May
