I read loads of books by #WorkingClass writers & what I've noticed is there's many incredible female writers whose books get sidelined cus society still feels uncomfortable with their stories of hardship, whilst men get revered for grit, women are still told to shut that shit up

Still dining off this moment, every writer dreams of seeing their book shortlisted for the biggest award in publishing, but when you're working class, when you come from poverty and told to stay in your lane, it's the greatest achievement on earth x
