people who say they 'don't see colour' think they mean well, but there is an issue in saying you see my humanity by looking *past* or *despite* race. It erases experiences and prisms, and it means you're not contending with that. It's disingenious and flattening

It irks me that so many things that Black and Indigenous people have always known to be true of our health and wellbeing, as well as that of our environment, are not believed or deemed 'woo-woo' until legitimised by white academics
