Friday night was a proud evening for our St John Ambulance England #isleofwight Unit as we held our awards evening to celebrate our volunteers and also took delivery of our brand new Community Support Vehicle. The next few posts will highlight some of the achievements

Congratulations to Conor, our #community #fundraising lead and an advanced First aider on receiving a high sheriffs award for his actions in coming to the aid of someone having a seizure on a Southern Vectis Bus, a shining example of first aid in the community.

3 #longservice awards were handed out to our Unit Manager, Gareth, Area logistics lead John and to Priory member John for 25, 10 and 35 years respectively. Many thanks to kay our president for organising the evening and to the #highsheriff and #lordlieutenant for presenting them

Caring for patients while caring for the environment! 🌿 St John Ambulance England is proud to announce our initiative to package a range of first aid consumables in medical grade paper, reducing plastic waste. By making this switch, we will eliminate 2 million plastic wrappers annually.

And so begins the prep for another busy weekend. We will be at the #garlicfestival and we will also be at the Older Persons Good Living Show at sandown airport on Saturday offering demonstrations on how to use a defibrillator etc. Feel free to pop in and say hi.
