Brock Boeser is a helluva player and scorer. Been a big-time playoff threat for Canucks. Blood-clotting issues are serious stuff. Wish him the best

Again when Rory won PGA champ at Valhalla he was 16 under. Winner might have to be 22 under today. Is this really a majors test? These scores are like Travelers

Valhalla has good rep as majors test but this far from the normal majors brute. I know it has rained and greens are receptive to shots there but 20 under par might win this thing. This is more like a normal PGA event

Fair to say that Dallas is very much sum of the parts team. No all-world players but this is a team with strong veteran presence, high-end kids Johnston, Harley and Stankoven and hugely underrated D Heiskanen. Goalie’s pretty good too

It is not how many guys you add at trade deadline as Colorado traded for good players Mittelstadt, Walker, Duhaime and Trenin and lost to Stars who added vital piece Tanev

So very sorry that Dutchy is gone. He was in Edmonton for years with ITV hosting Sports Night and also at CHED in his early broadcasting days. He was funny, smart. When you were around Dutchy he made you laugh, made you smile. His passing at 57 is so sad

No debate that Elias Pettersson is supremely talented but for his size he appears polar opposite of little, skilled Conor Garland when it comes to playoff will right now

92 million reasons should do it and fans in Vanc care deeply and media not enemy, the Oilers are. Would have liked to see some defiance in his presser, something along lines of “I will be much better and I need to produce for my team and I will, starting tomorrow.”

Canucks coach Rick Tocchet had Pickard in Ariz org when he coached there six years ago. Kuemper was their starter and they had Adin Hill, Raanta and Pickard play NHL games that season

Admire Knoblauch re Pickard start. He is doing what he feels is right at this time as a coach. Showing conviction

It was bold move in 1981 when Oiler coach Sather went with Andy Moog over Gary Edwards vs Habs in playoffs. If Pickard is starting Game 4, don't imagine Stu Skinner will be telling anybody 'you're making a big mistake' like the unhappy Edwards did with Sather

If Canucks are winning with their third-string goalie Silovs with 15 NHL games under his belt, why can't Oilers go with veteran Pickard who has played 140? Bold move. Skinner is No. 1, but Canucks have had their way with Stu this season.
