Drummer and percussionist Joe Porcaro was born on this day in 1930. The father of Jeff, Mike and Steve Porcaro, he is aboard the boat in his own right with credits that include “Toto IV”, Boz Scaggs’ “Silk Degrees” and Lee Ritenour’s “Rit”. He passed away in 2020 at age 90.
