If you are a PCP sending a patient to the ED for feeling weak/lethargic and they are pale and elderly and/or on anticoagulants of any sort and you have not already done a rectal exam I will not be impressed.

This is a good sweeping review of masks that uses better methodology than recent RCTs and considers the totality of the evidence. I find their conclusions very relevant and in line with the evidence:
