I’ve heard family advocates say they need to be able to involuntarily commit their loved one because involuntary commitment is the only option the system gives to them.

I think that is a strong argument for why the system we have can’t be trusted with that type of authority.

There are thousands of therapists recommending antidepressants who have never once read an entire research article on the subject- nor know much at all about the drug (other than how its marketed)

I will help change that
