The Committee is deliberating on the admissibility on a number of Communications submitted against State Parties.
Decisions on two communications where parties agreed to Amicable settlement will also be discussed.

The Committee expresses its appreciation to the delegation of #Zimbabwe , for addressing all the questions raised during this constructive dialogue.

The Disabled Persons Act, prohibits denial of access to public premises and services, by persons with disabilities including children with reduced mobility.

The Government is currently carrying out massive infrastructural upgrades on all public facilities including schools.

Various pieces of legislation in #Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 that are paramount to the advancement of children’s rights, have been aligned with the principles of the Charter, notably the Children’s Act, the Act is hinged on the 4 core principles enshrined in Article 4 of the Charter.

After a short break, #ACERWC43 continues with the consideration of the Periodic Report of #Zimbabwe 🇿🇼.

The delegation is led by the Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs.

Zimbabwe ratified the ACRWC in 1995, and submitted its Initial Report in 2014.

School feeding requires significant resources but the Government of #Rwanda 🇷🇼 has decided to to keep it running, looking at the gains in lower school drop-outs and increased performances of students.
