Over the first three months of 2024, a network of oddly similar and mutually interacting 'news' accounts has sprung up on Bluesky. These accounts post almost no original content and instead just link articles and videos and continually repost each other's posts.

It's a day ending in Y, and a network of hundreds of spam accounts is enthusiastically quoting a Samsung Mobile US post with repetitive posts about love, laughter, happiness, and blessings. Many of the spam accounts have GAN-generated faces.

It's a great day to read about a (hacked) Facebook page that has racked up nearly 200K followers by posting AI-generated images of alleged barndominiums. (Also, I have now learned the word 'barndominium' exists thanks to Facebook spam.)
