The #electoralreformprocess must at its core facilitate participation, accountability &strengthen our democracy.Whereas we support the need for the reforms,we strongly oppose the solutions being proposed.Leaving out the key outstanding constitutional issue of 2/3rds is telling.

Such an honor to join UN DED for normative support Ms.Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda in Nairobi today where we shared our thoughts & perspectives on gender equality & empowerment of women in Kenya & help the DED Understand on how to strengthen the existing relationship between WROs & UN Women.

CREAW and CRAWN Trust convened a forum to review the proposed Elections and Political Parties Bills. This culminated in developing a joint memorandum that was later submitted to Senate. The memorandum urged reforms for stronger governance & democracy. bit.ly/3QwfZpt
