I have seen graphs in the past that show that over the past few years, Toronto has not been spending a significant portion of it's annual budget. I believe I have seen Matt Elliott talk about this before but I could be wrong.

Does anyone have any links to this?

To make coffee at home with green beans you need:
An oven
A baking sheet
A container to brew
A filter

That’s it. 15 min to roast a batch that lasts a week. 5 min to grind/brew a cup.

The idea that the default is car-centric design and anything that changes that is “artificial” has no basis in reality. Any plan is “artificial”. This is thinking that is biased by the status quo and lacks any foresight into what we need to move forward.

Constraining the automobile is exactly what we must do. Failing to recognize this means endlessly building wider roads.

Decisions like this are really disappointing to see. What vision do our leaders have for our cities? Are they listening when every expert says the status quo simply doesn't work going forward? Who does this serve?

I think the bigger issue here is that these lands are used for the ex and other “temporary” events that need lots of flat land. I’m not saying there isn’t a better land use that could accommodate this but it’s definitely a bit tricky.

This has always felt like the most overblown tech complaint. The battery in the mouse lasted about a month so when you get notified it’s low you could just charge it when your finished using it. There is literally no issue.

People online thinking Toronto has bad transit by North American standards because it’s one of the few North American cities where a large percentage of people use transit often enough to actually discuss and complain about it a lot online:

I'm sure they would say something like 'not beside me!' or 'Don't do it next to my back yard'. They could probably figure out something more catchy.
