My timeline is 99% grim. In case you need a 1% diversion here is a picture of wild garlic that my daughter Ramya Evans took yesterday. Imagine the taste, the scent, the pesto, the scones....

REAL-ly looking forward to this!

Brilliant chance to test ideas for making <political economy> practical, accessible, & explained for mainstream.

Target: big decision makers/spenders in education, growth, development.

? Try a side bet on pol economy to unlock effectiveness?

This is cool. I use to worry that input costs for asset recovery were greater than loot returned, and peanuts vs total losses. That was in early 'projects' whereas now it seems <systems> are realising scales of return that make a difference.

Hey Feargal Sharkey- your tireless action on our rivers & seas echoes global efforts to shine a light on what govts & companies do, spend, deliver.

Also moving from data/monitoring to more political, problem solving, systemic effort.

🤓 any chance of a boost for this blog?

Every time a foundation funder or aid donor seeks my advice on useful <<political economy research>> in relation to subject X in country Y, the <Practical Politics Platform> seems one step closer...

(today it was climate finance...).

Blog co-authored with warren krafchik on 20 years of the Open movement, & ideas for what next - hoping to spur conversation we stress need for
1. more politics & political economy
2. an ecosystem approach
3. problem solving focus
Why? Closing civic space means a gear change is needed
