Pauli Van Wyk Taxes are high, peaking out at about 50%. The lowest rate is 8%, & one has to pay that even if you earn virtually nothing. Vat is 25%. Still, people don't complain because they sees their taxes at work everywhere. Instead, people are generally happy - 2nd happiest in the world.
