Howie IS the standard. I've known Howard Deneroff since before I got my driver's license (called him 'Mr. Deneroff' and was told never do that again!) I'm so thankful for his guidance and belief in me as I progressed from spotter to play-by-play. Salute to a Hall of Famer.

I I've said this before: If the HoF's Rozelle Award is decided on merit then Deneroff deserves strong consideration.

Howie hired me 3 years ago and gave me a step back into NFL football. He was a great boss, became a great friend, and leaves a legacy that is unprecedented in sports broadcasting.

Ian Eagle told me the more people who can take credit for your career, the better. Howard Deneroff is one who takes a chunk of credit for me, hiring a guy calling D-2 sports in Nebraska & putting him on a big stage. A risk for him. One I hope he feels paid off. Forever grateful.

I have been fortunate to work with Howard Deneroff for many years, and he is a true legend. His eye for talent was superb, his dedication unrelenting, and his work ethic off the charts. Live sports broadcasting was elevated as a result of his work.
