Eating disorders are real, but when people say they’re “addicted to chocolate” or cheese or whatever they do not have an eating disorder or an addiction - they are just using the word incorrectly - and it only ever negatively impacts real addictions and disorders.

Real outcome is a shared understanding of desired personal change that emerges organically from the therapy work—unique to each person
