After a ~7 hour outage, Paltel reports that #Internet connectivity has been restored in the southern #Gaza strip. Cloudflare observed a significant drop in traffic across multiple governorates between 08:30-15:30 UTC (11:30 - 18:30 local time).

With #auroras visible across large parts of the US, many are looking online for more information. Over the last day, peak request volume to Cloudflare DNS for noaa.gov has increased ~50%, while requests for spaceweather.com are up 6x.

Severe floods have been affecting Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Power outages have been reported. Cloudflare data shows that on Sunday, May 5th, daily Internet traffic in that state was 18% lower than the previous week, and on Monday at 20:00 UTC, hourly traffic was 28% lower.
