Of the more than 3,500 Medal of Honor recipients, 147 National Guardsmen have received the Medal since 1898. Famous Medal of Honor recipients who were in the Guard include pioneering pilot Charles A. Lindbergh and President Theodore Roosevelt.

This month's National Guard Holistic Wellness Challenge focuses on tips for gambling responsibly & resources to seek support for problem gambling.

Training like this allows aircrews to hone their skills and stay mission ready for overseas deployments and emergency responses at home.

His courageous actions in combat during a mission known as the 'Rescue at Cau Song Be' in 1967 resulted in the rescue of 80-100 South Vietnamese soldiers.
