BanMidou (परकालरामानुजदासन) Devotee🍀︎ One more thought occured to me. Azhwar is the son of bhrigu maharishi who is regarded as mahAdeva's brother (due to being coshishyas under Angiras). That could be one reason rudra was tempted to see if Azhwar had abhimAna for him despite being a prapanna.

These gunams are important in the context because Acharya showed that one can lead a saintly life without renouncing the world. He is like the drop of water on a lotus leaf.

bhagavAn is a thief of the mind due to the beauty of his form. If the dhyAna of vedAntAchArya is interrupted by bhagavAn stealthily entering the mind for even 1 second, it may be difficult to look away from him!

Thus, the term “सदा” is included in the thaniyan+

Thus, he says, “May vedAntAchArya always reside in my mind, to be meditated on”.

“सदा सन्निधतां” implies - “May the beauty of bhagavAn never distract me, just as shatrughna & madhurakavi azhwar were never distracted. May I constantly (सदा) only meditate on AchArya in my mind”+

“सदा सन्निधतां मे हृदि” - “हृदि” means “in the mind (हृत्)”. Usually, bhagavAn resides in minds of yogIs who meditate on him for liberation.

However, due to all the above described qualities, kumAra varadAchArya feels his father is a superior object of meditation to bhagavAn+
