Even though it was cold & snowy in Lassen Co last week ❄, the upcoming fire season was the focus when 18 students showed up for a 'Basic 32' firefighter training in Susanville. ⛏ After some classroom work, they completed field training such as cutting line on #publiclands .

🚶‍♀️Plan to hike this spring break? The East Indio Badlands Trail is a must-visit along the San Andreas Fault line. Experience slot canyons, unique rock formations & wildflowers. Dedicated volunteers built the trail in 2020 for visitors to enjoy, with the help of partners like BLM.

⛏Thanks to AmeriCorps NCCC and members from the #AlabamaHills Stewardship Group, we recently completed rebuilding sections of the #AlabamaHills Trail after heavy rains last August from #HurricaneHillary destroyed several sections of the trail. #partnership
