Saturday May 4th 2024, the day Derry Rocked the Boat and the World 🛶🌏

The showers didn’t dampen the celebrations today as the DLD Second Line Parade got underway, hot on the heels of the city’s Rock the Boat World Record success.
Lots of talented young local musicians take part in the jazz parade as part of the schools’ outreach programme.

We did it!!!

Derry has laid claim to the World Record for the most people in one place taking part in the famous Rock the Boat dance

A verified total of 1,888 people lined Shipquay Street Saturday’s record attempt which breaks the current record of 1,809

Ebrington Square will host the start of The Bear Run 74 - a charity event featuring around 70 supercars and American muscle cars - from 9am - 11am on Saturday 4 May. The event is being organised in aid of the Angel Wishes charity.

Please note that the Bishop Street Car Park is this weekend being used for motorhome provision for the City of Derry Jazz Festival.
