Why do some schools close the whole campus for STAAR? Sure, your testing grades can’t be interrupted, but why can’t a grandparent eat lunch with a pre-k student? What can’t a mentor visit with a 2nd grade friend? We make high stakes testing more disruptive than it has to be.

.Travis Rebels Fest & student barbecue competition was great fun! I couldn’t taste it, but it smelled amazing! Thank you Heather Merritt for being there for the community and telling me all about the barbecue teams at Travis.
