Philosopher & thinker on Darwin, Daniel Dennett died today (same day as Darwin). When in Cambridge, England for a conf. in 7/2009 (during Darwin bicentennial), Dr. Karen James & I came upon Daniel Dennett in King's College. He obliged for a photo, wearing a Darwin pin on his jacket.

Charles Darwin died #onthisday in 1882.
Developing a passion for natural history during his time at Cambridge University, his most famous work was 'The Origin of Species by natural selection' in 1859.
He is buried in the Abbey's nave.
