“The impact socioeconomic factors make is staggering…you can see time & time again that depending on where people are located, their outcomes vary," says our 2019 summer intern Ross O'Hagan MD Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai discussing his #COVID__19 research: hvrdct.me/rsg @CLIC_CTSA
We have lost a giant in the history of our nation with the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It is heartbreaking that in her final moments she was, as are many others, preoccupied with what would happen after her passing. I want to make one thing clear: we can, and must, fight.
A historic day. Congratulations to our new President Joe Biden and our new Vice President Kamala Harris. Now we must begin creating justice, healing our planet, and improving the material conditions for all people. The work is on all of us to organize and build a better future.
This is disappointing to see. First, seeking asylum at any US border is a 100% legal method of arrival. Second, the US spent decades contributing to regime change and destabilization in Latin America. We can’t help set someone’s house on fire and then blame them for fleeing.
I am so thankful that this work is now publicly available! Published Ahead of Print in Academic Medicine "Deconstructing Racism, Hierarchy, and Power in Medical Education: Guiding Principles on Inclusive Curriculum Design" journals.lww.com/academicmedici… #MedEd #antiracism #GCChat

Overturning Roe and outlawing abortions will never make them go away. It only makes them more dangerous, especially for the poor + marginalized. People will die because of this decision. And we will never stop until abortion rights are restored in the United States of America.
Let’s be real: there’s a WHOLE lot of men whose lives, careers, and families have benefited from an abortion (including several “pro-life” GOP Congressmen). Men, we need you right now. You can get through in rooms others can’t. Your power matters. Speak up. This is about us all.
