The best educators I’ve ever worked with were all curious. They were curious about theory, about practice, about people, about learning, about leadership.

Curiosity is a wonderful thing. It can solve organisational dilemmas, create innovations, new ways of working and,

By all means, let’s focus on the value of higher education. But let’s not define that value solely in terms of economics. A definition that does not include social value, cultural value or artistic value is no value at all.

There is a rhythm to educational work. Rising and falling tempo of teaching when it’s on point. The quickening, the allegro, the breakbeat of a perfectly syncopated session. In research, the rhythm, the perfect tempo of enquiry and discovery. Writing is purely rhythmic, the flow,

Prof Damien Page Our programmes led by Carla Jayne Avery have a golden thread of self care which talks to the heart of this. Every part of the programme has been considered to support students to be able to learn whilst also caring and supporting themselves and their others
