Small Fish, Big Tales - promoting responsible seafood consumption and diet diversification!

We interacted with over 200 fishers and tourists at the Malvan fish landing centre in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra, on the significance of available small fish in local diets.

#FieldFriday l Our Palk Bay team organised Karanagdu village expo!

During the exhibition, our CGF fellows presented existing maps of the village, covering aspects such as the #CoastalRegulationZone (CRZ), land use, and common areas.

Our CWE team at an Ultimate Frisbee coaches’ training camp in Shillong!

The camp proved beneficial in equipping our team with skills to facilitate Ultimate Frisbee play-sessions for youth from small-scale fishing communities in Odisha!

Concluding a two-month football coaching programme with a mini-tournament in ANI!

The football coaching programme, organised through our Sports and Community Wellbeing project in collaboration with the Wandoor gram panchayat, saw participation from about 40 youth from Wandoor.

Our Palk Bay team, along with Coastal Grassroots Fellows, hosted an exhibition in Thanneer Ootru on the theme of 'Traditional fishing gears and endangered marine species'. We showcased photos of various fishing methods, models of different fishing gears, village map etc.
