Last night Darwin College gardens; reminds me of sightings of the aurora recorded by Erasmus Darwin Erasmus Darwin House, Gilbert White Gilbert White's House & Gardens, Thomas and David Pennant Curious Travellers in the eighteenth century! Pleased to have been standing next to the photographer at this moment!

The project 'Curious travellers' is underway at Natural History Museum
Thanks to funding from the AHRC, 'Curious travellers' has recently begun a second phase, which will produce the first ever scholarly editions of Thomas Pennant’s Tours of Wales and Scotland.
