On Friday, I was honored to join @CPC_NYC for the grand opening of CPC One, an intergenerational mixed-use development that includes over 200 units of affordable housing, as well as community and cultural resources for the area.

CPC had the pleasure of hosting Natalie Leung, Co-Executive Director of Teach for Hong Kong, for a month-long experience. She gained insights into CPC’s diverse programs, including education initiatives, advocacy efforts, and development work.

CPC hosted eclipse viewing events for staff and community members today. From our centers in Brooklyn and Queens to the Norfolk Senior Housing, part of #CPCOne in Manhattan, everyone had the opportunity to witness this special phenomenon!

Caroline Scown, CPC's Civic Engagement and Training Manager, joined our partners in the #OurCityOurVote coalition and Alexa Avilés 🌹 愛麗莎 to call on our courts and electeds to protect #LocalLaw11 and the rights of 800,000 immigrant NYers to participate in municipal elections.

Thanks to Chuck Schumer's support, CPC was awarded $500,000 in the federal budget for our AAPI & Immigrant Mental Health Support Services initiative! It will expand our outreach and raise awareness on mental health care! Thanks also to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, @RepJerryNadle, Rep. Dan Goldman!

CPC home care workers joined 1199SEIU💫 and NY Caring Majority 🍎 and elected allies Rachel May Gustavo Rivera to fight back against proposed cuts to CDPAP worker wages in the budget. Home care workers deserve thriving wages and we need high quality care for all New Yorkers.
