And Polis was involved in at least a prelim investigation of using AI to scale. Their paper with Anthropic: arxiv.org/pdf/2306.11932… (perhaps ivan can say more)

Community Note appears ~2 days faster than traditional fact checks in this example recently highlighted in the news 📈

I think it would be a real tragedy if this moment stifled institutional governance innovation in the AI space -- but a real triumph if we used it to innovate *better*.

We've just released our work with OpenAI building towards the latter, and I couldn't be prouder.

Some helpful Community Notes add context to posts that aren't misleading. I'm curious to see whether this will change rating norms at all: will the community pivot to only add context on misleading posts?

This is a fascinating experiment. It connects fact checking to financial incentives to avoid fact checking.

It puts additional stress/adds edge cases to the collective intelligence mechanism, so, continues to imply heavier investment in engineering & product for CI
