A team of scientists led by Dr. Kusum Komal Karati, CMLRE has completed a cruise onboard FORV Sagar Sampada from 19.02.2024 to 14.03.2024 to study the spawning ecology of the pelagic fishes in the eastern Arabian Sea.

A stakeholder Consultative meeting was held at CMLRE with officials of World Bank, CMFRI & CIFT, as part of the proposed joint report between MoES and World Bank on Blue Economy pathways for resource efficient, inclusive and resilient growth in India.

CMLRE has refurbished the Referral Centre to showcase its deep-sea specimen collections. Dr. Sherine S Cubelio, Scientist-E, CMLRE, received the key from the WAPCOS team in the presence of Shri Saravanane N, Scientist-F, CMLRE.

FORV Sagar Sampada resumed the exploratory cruises, The Deep Ocean mission team studied the biodiversity of seamounts located along the Lakshadweep Archipelago.
