Coaches get head jobs because they're good w/ players as an assistant, but working with ADULTS usually makes or breaks you. Most are unprepared.
Make sure you are ready to work with:
- Asst. coaches
- Parents
- Administration
- Other sport coaches

Teaching and coaching are the same thing. Good coaches are good teachers.

Impatience can ruin a career. Don't chase the 'congratulations' you get now on social media. Chase being great, not getting attention. If you are chasing greatness, your time will come. It just may not be as soon as you want.

Take an inventory of your formations occasionally.
- Why do you run them?
- What problems do they present the defense?
- What plays do you like?
- What area of field?
