The body cam footage finally released today of 19-year-old #WinRozario ’s killing by the NYPD is nauseating.
No one should have to fear that calling for help could turn deadly. Win deserved better. He should still be alive.
Mayor Eric Adams Edward A. Caban Justice Committee Contrary to the NYPD's lies that began soon after Win was killed, the video shows that the way these cops came in created a crisis situation. Win’s family is calling for @nycmayor & Edward A. Caban to fire both officers and for NY AG James to prosecute them.
From jump, Officers Alongi & Cianfrocco used insulting, disrespectful language when they entered the home of #WinRozario . They created a crisis, barked orders, tased & shot Win. Mayor Eric Adams Edward A. Caban police should NOT be responding to mental health crises! bit.ly/WinFamilyState…
Today NY AG James released horrifying bodycam footage of Officers Salvatore Alongi & Matthew Cianfrocco murdering #WinRozario in front of his mother & brother, in his family’s home. Please read and share the Rozario family’s statement! DRUM #CeasefireNow justicecommittee.org/post/family-of…
So the NYPD was kicking out journalists during the raids on campus so that they could have exclusive access.... to film an avengers movie??
NYPD's communications/PR budget is $5 Million. 🤔wonder what else we could spend that on #CareNotCuts #PeoplesBudget
JC and Communities United for Police Reform condemn the violent mass arrests & brutalizing of City College of NY & Columbia University students/faculty and NYPD's dangerous militarized tactics. Please read and share this statement by JC's ED + CPR spokesperson Loyda Colon: changethenypd.org/releases/state…
STATEMENT: In response to the violence by the NYPD in riot gear against student protesters at City College of NY and Columbia University last night and at multiple schools over the past weeks:
“As an organization that believes in the power of community action and, in particular, the capacity…
Mayor Adams should seize the role of being Mayor.
NYWFP Co-Director Ana Maria Archila🦋🐺: the police response was “reckless, escalatory and put the entire university community in harm’s way. This is a shameful day in our city’s history, and one that will not be forgotten.”
The brutality we witnessed last night now is what happens when a mass movement rises up with a message that people in power want to silence and violently repress.
