One mother can look after 10 children but 10 children find it difficult to look after one mother. We need to get our priorities in order.

A quick shout out to the team Southern Sun who partnered with us for #EarthDay2024 as we brought stakeholders and partners together as we observed the important work being done across sectors to educate, protect and defend our fauna, flora and this place we call home ✊🏽🌿🌎

3⃣ Adré, a village in the desert at the Sudan-Chad border, now hosts over 122,000 refugees, struggling to access basic services and living in undignified conditions.

The scale of devastation and the overwhelming need for assistance are striking.

2⃣ Over 550k Sudanese, mostly women and children, have fled to eastern Chad, where MSF teams provide crucial medical assistance and water & sanitation support to refugees and local communities, but resources are stretched incredibly thin.

When I spoke to people forced from home in neighboring Chad I was told they had two options: “flee to Chad or be killed”.

Their resilience amidst adversity was remarkable.

1⃣ A massive 6.4 million Sudanese people have been displaced inside the country, and 1.7 million have been forced to seek refuge in neighboring countries.

Illegal Wildlife Trade is one of the four biggest illicit trades in the world. We so often and so easily disregard the illegal Wildlife Trade because we don't see it in our urban spaces. #EarthDay2024 Miss Earth South Africa

Over 1000 Park rangers have died in line of duty over past 10yrs.

9500 Rhino's have been lost to poachers bullet since 2011. And Kruger has lost 75% of its white Rhino population since 2011
