I’m 4.5 years sober and waking up without a hangover on a Sunday is still the best feeling. What are you up to today?

We’ve been sold the lie that as a society we need alcohol to have fun, to connect, to live our best lives. Being sober feels like being let in on one of the best kept secrets of our time. who else feels this way?!

Ok, curious to know, are you grateful for your struggles with addiction, and do you think you it helped shaped who you are today? I’m not yet grateful for mine.

This is one of my fav quotes in regard to recovery. “Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.” Nelson Mandela It took me 2 years before I hit long term sobriety. How long did it take you to get sober?

Ok, how did you know you needed to get sober? Was there a sign or specific moment? Mine was my husband telling me how my drinking was hurting him.

On Saturday I ran a 5k, and I was only able to do it because I’m sober. When I was in active addiction I lost the ability to run. But, now I’m in recovery and I can. What’s something you can do now that you’re sober, but couldn’t when you were addicted?

Ok, what’s your take on non-alcoholic drinks? Do you drink them why or why not? I do, but I think everyone is different and should know what works for them

Ok, curious. Do you call yourself an alcoholic, why or why not? I don’t. But I’d love to hear reasons for and against
