The 22 x 31-inch radar plot was made by Private Joseph L. Lockard at the Opana Radar Station on the morning of December 7, 1941. It indicated a large number of aircraft approaching the island of Oahu.

#MapMonday A map of Pembroke made in the Soviet Union in 1950. It includes details that were redacted from public maps in the UK. Currently on display in our Wales to the World exhibition at the Riverside, Haverfordwest Visit Pembrokeshire 🏴

For this week’s #MapMonday , we have a map of the northern half of the island of Ireland created by the celebrated cartographer, John Roque and printed in 1794.
Rocque was a royal cartographer in Dublin producing maps of various parts of Ireland.

This beautifully coloured plan of the Port and Town of Hartlepool in 1841 was drawn up by J.T.W. Bell of Castle Eden. The area, now known as the Headland, was the site of the original Hartlepool and formed the natural harbour for the old fishing town for many centuries #MapMonday
