Given that I watch more YouTube than TV I figured it was time to opt for the Premium package (€12 a month). Well worth it. No more annoying ads and waiting for the SKIP message to appear.

My four-year-old granddaughter to her mum:

'How old is grandad?'

'Seventy two'.

'Oh good. He's not old anymore!'

(She only heard the 'two'.)

I have to say though that there were times I felt more ancient. To quote Dylan: 'I was so much older then; I'm younger than that now'.

Surely the problem is not that airlines are not checking documents at embarkation but that passengers are destroying them en route to Ireland?

I've binge-watched #Ripley over the last couple of days. One of the best Netflix series that I've seen. And the best looking - gorgeous B&W: deep, rich blacks and brilliant whites; every frame superbly composed by Robert Elswit, cinematographer. Outstanding.
