Meanwhile, we desperately need more social homes.

While nowhere near enough by itself to end the housing emergency, converting empty homes into social homes would help kickstart the delivery of homes we desperately need. 🧵

There is a phrase in publishing re books “having a long tail” - came to mind at event just done where they asked me to sign hundreds of WINNERS which came out 2015. Hope my next books have similar tail, even if target audience will move from childhood to adulthood in that time

Sad to hear Frank Field has died. A good man driven by convictions that never wavered. Perhaps more suited to life as a campaigner and policy thought leader than as minister but he could look back on a life well lived and a political career that made a difference. RIP

So good to see this. Steve Gibson is a good guy and I had heard he had got close to Houchen which I found very depressing if true. So it is excellent to see him call him out over the under-reported scandal of the #Teesworks get rich quick plan for Johnson’s pal’s pals
