A big impact of more locum consultants is that they can’t be clinical supervisors. Therefore trainees are supervised by consultants who are semi-retired who tend to be less in touch with Royal College of Psychiatrists requirements, or/& don’t work on the trainees’ wards so don’t know the patients…

Why as a clinician would you not want to send a message to your patients to help reassure them that no matter who they are, they’re safe with you?
