Digging large, deep holes in the sand is NOT allowed and is very dangerous. ⚠️ Sand is heavy and unsteady. It can collapse without warning, suffocating anyone beneath it. ⚠️ Never dig deeper than the knees of the shortest person in the group. ❌ Absolutely NO tunneling. ❌

Visited the incredible NYSUT members of the Jones Beach Jones Beach Lifeguards β€” trained, focused, and ready to protect. With new jet skis and drones to monitor sharks and assist in rescues, they’re keeping our beaches safe. Grateful for their service and union strength! πŸ›ŸπŸ–οΈ
