The question was simple, name your favourite past or present Canadian TV show. The answers poured in - enough for two weeks of shows. Today, the final list of your choices on Your Turn.

A televised conference is a risk, but it's 3rd and long, and you're in a two-minute drill.

A scrappy, fighting, PM on an issue he gears up for? Against some of those pissants who'd shit themselves trying to keep up with Premiers of past Fed-Prov meetings?

I like JT's chances.

I saw the 1993 campaign up close. What happens when voters believe the party is going to be crushed is that it accelerates the downward trend. It would be a grave error to imagine this is the bottom. Party bases are more like 9-12%

This , hopefully, is how most news organizations will treat this information But I fear there will be more about football than murder.

If nothing changes, they will get exactly what they want: a federal government that doesn't care about climate change.

Those are the consequences if nothing changes. For people who care about climate change, that is a loss, not a win.

Some of them will show up to do that. Others have carbon pricing and believe in fighting climate change. The point for me is Liberals have been losing on this, not because there's is bad policy but because they are on the back foot. That doesn't have to be the case.

They are 15 points behind in part bc they have 40 messages a week. To change the trajectory it would to reframe carbon tax as a 'what's a better idea about how to address climate change or do you not care' question. A televised summit is a way to press that question.

No, I think this is an important opportunity for PM to challenge others to describe a better alternative to carbon pricing w rebates. Hiding out means continuing to lose this fight. If a better policy is possible, find it and move forward. Little to lose at this point.

'Carney said this is the approach of right-wing populists, who prey on the perception that government is broken. Poilievre has also been saying this, and Carney reminded the audience that the forces against Brexit in the U.K. also had a 'broken Britain' slogan.'
